V1200 1.2m BNF Basic with AS3X+ and SAFE Select

E-flite V1200 RC Plane Introduction

Fly fast and look good doing it with the E-flite V1200! The original V1200 quickly became known as one of the fastest right-out-of-the-box models – also capable of unexpectedly stable slow flight for easier landings thanks to its functional flaps – with impressive aerobatic capabilities. Now it’s available again with larger, more durable and reliable retract units, a higher visibility color scheme and improved finish, plus the proven high-performance brushless power system that lets you choose how ballistic you want to be. Level-flight top speeds of up to 110+ MPH are possible with 4S batteries. Or reach up to 140+ MPH using common 6S 3200–7000mAh packs! It's equipped with a 100-amp Spektrum Avian Smart ESC, plus the BNF Basic version also features an AR637TA+ receiver to deliver full-range real-time telemetry along with the benefits of enhanced AS3X+ and optional-use SAFE Select technologies.

E-flite V1200 RC Plane Overview

Grab the sticks to fly the fastest prop-driven E-flite airplane yet! With 4S 3200–5000mAh batteries and the factory-installed brushless power system, the V1200 reaches up to 110+ MPH in level flight- making it suitable for intermediate pilots with some high-speed flying experience. Or more experienced pilots can unleash level-flight top speeds up to 140+ MPH with popular 6S 3200–7000mAh batteries! The Spektrum Avian 100A Smart ESC lets you speed with confidence, knowing all is well with the power system and battery from the real-time telemetry data sent via compatible receivers (such as the BNF Basic version’s AR637TA+) to Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters.

Speed and aerobatic enthusiasts will love the locked-in precision of the six digital, metal-geared servos and ball-link equipped linkages – especially when flying the BNF Basic version that’s equipped with a factory-installed AR637TA+ receiver featuring enhanced AS3X+ and optional-use SAFE Select technologies. Operational flaps improve slow-flight performance and allow for shorter takeoffs and landings. The updated and upgraded, more durable and reliable retracts with sprung wire struts let you fly from paved, packed dirt, or shorter grass surfaces at any suitably sized fields. The sleek airframe is composite-reinforced throughout and is molded in higher-density EPO that delivers a stronger and stiffer airframe with a smoother, dent and damage-resistant surface. Plus, it’s now factory-finished in a high-contrast trim scheme with a brighter color for improved visibility and orientation. No glue is required for assembly, and a total of six screws install the stabs, plus the one-piece wing that installs and removes easily for convenient storage and transport, thanks to hands-free connections. That means you can be ready to enjoy a flying experience unlike any other in less time than it takes to charge a battery. It’s easier than ever to fly fast and look good doing it with the V1200!

Skill Level 2 – Some Experience Required

Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly models like the E-flite ElectroStreak 1.1m, Sportix 1.1m, Conscendo Evolution 1.5m, 1.2m to 1.5m warbirds, 64mm and larger EDF, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the V1200 1.2m BNF Basic version.

Exclusive Technologies

This BNF Basic version V1200 1.2m is equipped with a factory-installed Spektrum AR637TA+ receiver that features exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. Enhanced AS3X+ works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! If you don’t want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver normally, and only AS3X+ will be active.

Bind-N-Fly® Completion Level Advantage

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

Smart Transmitter File

This BNF aircraft is equipped with a receiver that is loaded with a Smart Transmitter File (STF) that makes programming your transmitter as easy as a few clicks of a button. When you bind your transmitter to an STF-equipped aircraft, all programming parameters download automatically from the receiver. Switch assignments, rates, expo, telemetry, and voice callouts configure themselves. No lengthy step-by-step instructions. No continual adjustments. Just push-button convenience that gets you flying faster.

Smart Technology

The V1200 1.2m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including overall battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including the AR637TA+ installed in the BNF Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) while you fly.

Versatile Brushless Power

The V1200 is factory-equipped with a high-power brushless power system that gives you the option to choose just how fast you want to go. Simply drop in a 4S 3200mAh to 5000mAh battery to reach level-flight speeds up to 110+ MPH with the included APC 10x8E propeller and aluminum spinner. Or, to go beyond that and reach top speeds up to 140+ MPH, install a 6S 3200mAh to 7000mAh battery—no modifications or upgrades necessary!

Functional Features

Operational flaps offer improved slow-flight capability and performance while also making it possible to take off and land in shorter distances and at slower speeds. Larger, more durable and reliable electric retracts with sprung wire struts make it possible to fly from a variety of surfaces including pavement, dirt and short grass.

Strength and Precision

Speed is nothing without the right balance of strength and precise control. The V1200’s stunning and sleek airframe is molded in special, higher-density EPO that results in a stronger and stiffer airframe with a smoother, dent and damage resistant finish. It’s also composite reinforced including multiple carbon fiber spars throughout the wing, fuselage and tail. Plus, it’s equipped with digital, metal-geared servos that deliver the precise control and reliability you need to enjoy flying FAST flight after flight.

Easy Assembly

No glue is required for assembly and you can have the V1200 ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! With a total of six screws, the stabs and the one-piece wing bolt into place and can easily be removed for convenient storage and transport.
